Year End Healthy House Review: Looking Ahead to 2024

The end of the year is literally around the corner with 2024 bright ahead. One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to look back and see what happened in 2023 — a year goes by quickly, but it really can be easy to forget things that happened early in 2023.

So as we look back on 2023, here’s a look at some of the best ways you can improve the health of your home that I shared this last year:

This year I’ve had the pleasure of working one on one with families, teaching classes locally and creating online video classes to help you understand and work towards a healthier home.  These are the big ones that came out in 2023 — and you’ll still have access to them in 2024.

Bedrooms are the BEST spot to start when you’re looking to up your healthy house game.  It’s not only where you spend the most time, but it’s also a place where you’re in close proximity to some pretty toxic items if you’re not careful.

Another place I focused on A LOT this year (and will some more in 2024) is the kitchen.  Toxins that can leach into food are a big deal because it means we can ingest those toxins as a route of exposure.  And the great thing is, many of the swaps I share are fairly low cost and can be found quite easily.

I always say that understanding the toxins and harm that particular toxins can have on your home and space makes it even easier to reduce toxins in your home. These are a few of the bigger toxins that you can learn about from 2023.

We often forget that a BIG part of what we do at home to make it healthier is actually from habits and not from necessarily swapping out materials or products.  These are simple things you can do at home, and most don’t cost a thing.

While you take care of your body and your mind during workouts or outside, make sure you’re also not exposing yourself to unnecessary toxins. My picks will help make it SUPER simple for 2024.

As we move into 2024, there might be some simple mindset shifts that will drastically help you move forward in your healthy home work.  No matter how simple the change is, it can be that mindset shift that gets you unstuck.

Planning ahead for projects is a big part of creating a healthier home and it can mean making a HUGE impact on your space with just one home improvement job.  Whether it’s big or small, remember that by choosing a low toxin material, you can have control and impact on your space.

Whether you’ve got kids now, you’re expecting a baby in 2024 or you’re a grandparent, I’ve got you covered with toxin free baby products and ways to make your home healthier for the littlest humans in our lives.

Wishing you all the best in 2024 — all the health and all the happiness.  Thank you for hanging out with me in 2023 — I can’t wait to learn and share more with you in the New Year!
